Overland Hills Church Papillion, NE (greater Omaha area) is searching for a Director of Music. Reporting to the Senior Pastor, this individual will plan and oversee the musical aspects of the entire ministry, especially the Lord’s Day gathering. He will also have other ministry duties as gifting and time allow.
We are looking to fill the position beginning in Summer 2023.
Here are the primary qualities we are looking for:
1. Theological Agreement: Reformed soteriology, baptistic, gospel-centered, (think 9Marks for ecclesiology/polity)
2. Musical Abilities: Singing, playing an instrument (piano, guitar) scheduling, rehearsing with a band, and leading a congregation.
3. Planning/Organization: Administrative abilities to assist with day-to-day ministry operations, overseeing our worship liturgy, the technology team, Planning Center Online and Lord’s Day logistics.
4. Leading: able to recruit, coach and lead others to grow in faith and competence
5. Pastoral Ambition: We are seeking an individual that meets the qualifications given in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and would desire to be trained as an elder (therefore we are looking for a male to fill the position)
Competitive compensation will be based experience and education and will include a contribution towards individual health insurance as well as the Converge retirement plan.
