FRENCH CAMP, Mississippi
Job Description: Full-time Christian House Parents
French Camp Academy is looking for Christ-centered couples who sense a call to serve the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of children and teenagers in a residential environment. French Camp serves boys and girls who need a safe home and structured school because of circumstances beyond their control.
House parents provide nurture, safety, and leadership in a 3,600 square ft home. House parent couples live in a 3 bedroom/2 bath apartment connected to the student home with all the amenities. Many of French Camp’s house parents have children of their own, too.
The couples serving on French Camp’s 900-acre campus pursue Christ passionately, understand the brokenness of humanity, thrive in relationship management, and have a strong and growing understanding of biblical marriage, family and parenting.
Benefits include a strong health insurance program, an attractive retirement program, complimentary housing, meals, utilities, and a community of Christians excited about God’s work in the lives of young people. Access to a 30-acre lake, swimming pool, horses, and many other resources provide an attractive ministry setting to live out one’s faith.
French Camp Academy, a Christ-centered home and school, exists to serve young people and their families for the glory of God. Located in north-central Mississippi, 75 miles north of Jackson and 80 miles south of Tupelo, on the historic Natchez Trace Parkway, French Camp Academy has been a refuge to thousands of young people since 1885. Supported by private donations only, French Camp Academy is not a therapeutic residential program, but a safe place for young people to live and learn in twelve homes across a beautiful pastoral campus.
