Marketing and Communications Specialist

Position: 32 hours a week (4 days a week)

Vision for the Position:

Hope Academy is seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist to elevate our school’s communication, branding, and marketing efforts. This position reports to the Manager of Marketing & Communications and works closely with the Admissions team to ensure our unique value propositions are clearly communicated to our target audiences. The purpose of this position is to help Hope Academy increase student enrollment, retain and engage families, and increase our marketing capacity and capabilities.

Job Details:

  • Design beautifully branded print and digital materials (flyers, signage, PowerPoints, etc) for different departments in the school, with primary focus on Admissions and Recruitment.
  • Work with external print vendors to ensure finished materials meet project requirements.
  • Gather fun photo and video content for social media. Keep up to date on social media trends.
  • Create and promote ads through radio, television, newspaper, and social media ads.
  • Attend Admissions Tours and Events to help promote Hope Academy in the community.
  • Help maintain and make routine website edits.
  • Gather and send weekly announcements to families.
  • Send email and text communications to families weekly and as needed.
  • Work closely with the Manager of Marketing & Communications to achieve each department’s marketing goals and create a consistent and high-quality branding presence.
  • Aid in video production projects.
  • Support school wide events with digital and print materials.
  • Other marketing tasks as assigned.

Specific Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Strong design skills and proficiency in the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc).
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Photography skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to balance several projects at once.
  • Ability to work and collaborate as part of a team and independently.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with creation of tik toks/reels/social media videos.
  • Event planning experience.
  • Bilingual with conversational Spanish and translation.
  • 2+ years of successful marketing experience.
