Are you looking for an exciting ministry opportunity? At Camp Oak Hills, one person can make a big impact in the lives of campers. Camp Oak Hills in Bemidji, MN is an interdenominational Christian camp. We serve youth grades K-12 through residential day and overnight camps. Our campers live primarily in northern Minnesota, including the local Native American reservations. Each summer we employ around 25 high school and college-age students to serve as cabin leaders, program staff, and support staff.
Serving as a summer missionary at Camp Oak Hills is hard work but has many rewards, including: spiritual growth, lasting friendships, leadership experience, and job skills.
Qualifications we look for in a summer missionary:
• Sincere love for Jesus, growing walk with God, and belief in the Bible.
• Love for children and a desire to see them come to know and grow in Jesus.
• Agree with Camp Oak Hills’ philosophy, policies, and guidelines of conduct.
• Hard-working, eager to learn, self-starters, and willing to serve the needs of the campers and staff.
• Committed to raising a financial and prayer support team.
Camp Oak Hills provides a starting salary for most positions. Each summer missionary has the opportunity to raise additional salary through fundraising up to a cap of $400-500 per week depending on position. Average support raised per person in 2019 was $1200. Room and board is provided with all positions.
