In the World, Against the World, For the World: A Conversation on Christ and Culture with John Piper and Doug Wilson
We live in a time of great cultural upheaval. From sexuality to abortion, from entertainment to warfare, from poverty to the environment–Christians cannot escape from the brokenness and pain of this world. Christians have long debated the best way to engage with the surrounding culture. What can we enjoy? What must we reject? When should we confront? When should we withdraw? And most importantly, how do we keep the gospel central?
John Piper and Doug Wilson have each been preaching the gospel and wrestling with these questions for over 30 years. When it comes to engaging with culture, they both recognize the need for biblical fidelity, wise application, and glad-hearted witness. Bethlehem College & Seminary invites you to join us for a two-hour conversation with these men, as they discuss what Christian faithfulness looks like in our own day.
This free event will be held at 7PM on Sunday September 29, 2013 at Bethlehem Baptist Church-Downtown Campus.
