Bethlehem College & Seminary has reached another important milestone on the path to accreditation, a multi-year process of institutional assessment and evaluation required for schools registered in the state of Minnesota in their early years of operation.
Soon after registering the college and seminary with the state of Minnesota in 2010, the board of Bethlehem College & Seminary decided to pursue accreditation with the Association for Biblical Higher Education. BCS completed its application with the ABHE in the fall of 2012 and had its application approved at the Commission’s annual meeting in February of 2013. After a visit from our accreditation consultant in July of 2013, BCS submitted its first self study to the Commission this past fall.
At its February 2014 meeting, the Association for Biblical Higher Education’s Accreditation Commission granted BCS permission to schedule an evaluation team visit, a necessary next step in the accreditation process. The visit is expected to take place in late September or early October and, Lord willing, will advance BCS towards its goal of accreditation. The ABHE Commission will meet again in February 2015 to determine BCS’s status.
We are grateful to God for the many people who have supported BCS with their prayers, gifts and service. We continue to ask for your prayers as we pursue accreditation. May the Lord continue to bless BCS and our mission to train the next generation of christian leaders.
