COHORT MODEL

The M.Div. program at Bethlehem is built around a cohort model, and seminarians will take all classes with between 15–18 other men aspiring to pastoral ministry. Each incoming class is a band of brothers that experiences this season of preparation together, sharing what they learn both in class and practice.

PASTORAL APPRENTICESHIP

Bethlehem Theological Seminary is a church-based institution, and seminarians gain invaluable hands-on experience as Resident Pastoral Apprentices in partner churches. All of seminary life is lived amid the lives of local congregations. A whole church, its pastors and members, surrounds you as you labor to prepare to shepherd a flock of your own.

REFORMED THEOLOGY

Apprentices will be taught in the Protestant Reformed tradition that emphasizes the absolute sovereignty of God, the Bible’s sole authority, and the Calvinist doctrines of grace all inclined toward the happy Reformed view that “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.
