Rejoice with Us Tonight!

Share

Tonight, we celebrate the first ten years of Bethlehem College & Seminary’s history at our Decennial Convocation. This promises to be a wonderful time of worship, inspiration, and thanksgiving for the many mercies of the Lord that have been poured out on us in these beginning years. For those of you who live in the Twin Cities, this will be an event worth attending. Much like our commencement services, this one will feature wonderful worship as well as messages from Chancellor John Piper and Dr. Albert Mohler, President of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. The service starts at 7:30pm at the Downtown Campus of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis.

The Lord has accomplished so much in such a short time at our school. Therefore, we feel it is appropriate and fitting that we pause to give honor and glory to our great God for what He has done and what He is doing in and through Bethlehem College & Seminary. With over 220 students this year, over 450 graduates, and our alumni advancing the gospel all over the world, we stand in awe at the joy and privilege it is to be able to play even a small part in the equipping of our students to be effective servants for Jesus Christ.

All of you reading this letter should be rejoicing also. Each of you who have partnered with us through praying for us, through encouragement (which accomplishes a great deal more than you might think), through volunteering with us, and through mentoring our students, as well as through your generous financial contributions, should be so pleased by the outcome of your efforts and sacrifices. Lives are being changed and transformed. Ministries are being staffed. Churches are being planted. Unreached people groups are being reached. Businesses are being used for the glory of God. All of this is but some of the fruit being born by the graduates of this school.

I thank the Lord for the privilege of being part of the history and growing legacy of Bethlehem College & Seminary and for being a co-laborer with you in this gospel work.

Prayer Requests:

  1. Please pray for the Convocation tonight. Pray for the speakers, the worship leaders, and the celebration to honor the Lord.
  2. Please pray also for the many visitors who will be with us. Today is also our Fall Preview Day for prospective students and their families. Pray that the Lord would use this day to encourage them to choose Bethlehem College & Seminary as their college or seminary.
  3. And, as always, please continue to pray for our finances. Pray for our ongoing operational needs, and pray that the Lord would allow us to significantly grow our endowment fund to help ensure the long-term financial stability of this amazing school.
