Position:
Pastor (bi-vocational possible full-time)
Grace Fellowship Church is seeking to hire full-time Pastor to join us in the work to “equip the saints for the work of service, for the building up of the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12).
Responsibilities:
• Preaching/teaching weekly on Lord’s day worship service
• Giving oversight to worship service, music, and Sunday School
• Leading weekly Wednesday night bible study/prayer group
• Administration of the ordinances (monthly Lord’s supper and baptism of believers)
• Provide counsel and encouragement to individual members as needed
• Coordinate with other elders and deacons on regular connections and emergency visitations with church families
• Help train next generation of leaders “entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2b)
Requirements:
• Meet requirements laid out in Scripture for elders (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4)
• Agreement with Grace Fellowship Church statement of faith and 1689 Confession.
• Competent in expository preaching as the primary method of preaching
• Completed or enrolled in pastoral training from reputable institution/organization
