We are pleased to offer five pre-conference breakout tracks. Find more information and session descriptions below.

BREAKOUT TRACK 1 — THE UNMODERN MINISTRY

One need in our generation is to recover Christian ministry from the ways our hurried, distracted, trivial, decadent modern world has deformed it. In this track, we’ll consider the attention, pace, and depth of the unmodern ministry, gleaning wisdom along the way from pastors of the past.

Session 1 | The Pace of Unmodern Ministry – Jonathan Parnell
Session 2 | The Presence of Unmodern Ministry – Scott Hubbard
Session 3 | The People of Unmodern Minstry – Marshall Segal
Q&A Panel
Sponsored by Desiring God

BREAKOUT TRACK 3 — TREASURING CHRIST IN CHURCH PLANTING

How Gospel Culture Fuels the Great Commission

The greatest cause in the world is to fulfill the Great Commission by planting Christ-treasuring churches together. We all desire churches with a big view of God and healthy structure. But we also want churches marked by the sweet aroma of Gospel-formed culture. Churches that smell like the fruit of the Spirit are marked by honesty, humility and honor. As Gospel preaching fuels Gospel culture, from that fertile soil comes Great Commission going and sending.

Session 1 | Treasuring CHRIST in Church Planting – Kenny Stokes
Session 2 | Treasuring Christ in CHURCH Planting – Justin Perry
Session 3 | Treasuring Christ in Church PLANTING – Dieudonné Tamfu
Q&A Panel

Sponsored by the  Treasuring Christ Together Network

BREAKOUT TRACK 4 — WHY BIBLICAL THEOLOGY MATTERS

Session 1 | D.A. Carson and the State of Biblical Theology – Benjamin Gladd
Session 2 | Pastor as Servant of the Lord – Matthew Harmon
Session 3 | How to Read the Bible Like the Bible Reads the Bible – Jared Compton
Q&A Panel
Sponsored by The Gospel Coalition

BREAKOUT TRACK 5 — SOUND DOCTRINE AND THE CHURCH

Like streams into a lake, every doctrine eventually pours into the doctrine of the church and its practices. That means good doctrine is crucial for church life and health. This session explores how three different points of doctrine impact your church and then offers practical counsel for pastors.

Session 1 | Theology Proper and the Church – Sam Emadi
Session 2 | Christology and the Church – David Mathis
Session 3 | Conversion and the Church – Kevin McKay
Q&A Panel

Sponsored by 9Marks
