Oakdale Evangelical Free Church

Meriden, Iowa USA

ASSOCIATE PASTOR

CHURCH AND COMMUNITY SNAPSHOT

Oakdale Evangelical Free Church, founded in 1892, is located in rural Meriden in Northwest Iowa, drawing from multiple communities and school districts. Our mission is to know God and make Him known.

Oakdale is an elder-led, multi-generational congregation with many young families and an active senior ministry. Our blended form of worship, expository preaching, our emphasis on discipleship through local outreach, international missions, prayer, and fellowship describe body life. Along with Sunday worship and Sunday School, we enjoy Wednesday night meals together followed by Bible studies for all ages. There are other opportunities to minister and fellowship in our Men’s, Women’s, Senior’s, and Children’s ministries.

The communities Oakdale serves are agriculturally based with some manufacturing and other small businesses. We enjoy small-town life where family and community are highly valued. There are many opportunities for outdoor recreation including public parks, lakes, rivers, hunting and fishing.
