Breaking Ground

Dear Friends,

We are back from our trip to the United States. It was so refreshing and encouraging to be with family, friends, and supporting churches. We are thankful for all your encouragement and prayers.

Simeon Trust Workshops

The week before our travels was extremely busy. Our men’s workshop took place from Monday to Wednesday. Our women’s workshop took place Friday and Saturday. Then we hopped on the plane Sunday to head to Minnesota. Here’s a link to one of Dominique’s lessons.

One reason we love these workshops is that we get to minister to people from many different churches and denominations. One woman said, “I wish I knew these things earlier, but I know it’s not too late to go back to my church and teach the Bible better.” Please pray that churches all over Cameroon would be blessed by these workshops and all kinds of leaders would be better equipped to handle God’s word.

Building Project

God has been very gracious in providing funds for our church’s building project. We now have enough to break ground and begin construction. We plan to break ground in November. Praise the Lord! We will still need funds to furnish and equip the building, so please keep this project in your prayers.

We have big news for the building project’s oversight. Someone told Greg Cowan, an engineer looking to work overseas, about our building project. He decided to come to Yaoundé for 2 years to help oversee the work. He just moved here with his family in collaboration with Third Lens (a Christian organization specializing in building projects). Praise the Lord!

If you or anyone you know has skills or knowledge in the area of construction and would be willing to come to Cameroon and serve, please contact us! We estimate that it will be at least a 1-year project. We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to come for at least a month to assist.

We thank God for your prayers! God bless you!
