Foundations of Christian Worldview

At Bethlehem College, we aim to produce mature men and women who are ready to witness for Christ—in any vocation—with wisdom and wonder for the rest of their lives. We desire to graduate students who are rooted in Christ and ready for the world. We believe that education is discipleship, and there are some things that you can only learn face-to-face, life-on-life. Our programs are designed to give students key habits of heart and mind that will serve them in every area of life.

This summer, we’re excited to offer our Foundations of Christian Worldview course to qualified high school students. It’s an opportunity to taste and see what we mean by Education in Serious Joy. In this intensive course, students will:

  • Explore why we teach Great Books in light of the Greatest Book for the sake of the Great Commission.
  • Be introduced to Bethlehem’s rigorous approach to reading God’s word and God’s world.
  • Experience the value of our intentionally small, face-to-face model of education.
  • Connect with Bethlehem students and faculty both in and out of the classroom.

Students will begin reading assignments in June, attend 1 online orientation session, and conclude with an in-person intensive in August. The intensive will begin Sunday, August 11 with a Welcome Dinner and conclude Thursday, August 15 at 5pm.

Will I get college credit?
Students who pass the course will receive two undergraduate credits. Because Foundations of Christian Worldview is a required course in all of Bethlehem’s undergraduate majors, these credits may be applied toward a degree at Bethlehem. For more information on Bethlehem’s majors click here. Students who enroll at another college may transfer these credits, subject to the terms of the receiving institution.

Is Bethlehem accredited?
Bethlehem is accredited by the Association of Biblical Higher Education

What is the cost?
Bethlehem College is one of the most affordable Christian colleges in the country. Under our unique financial model, every residential student receives a $10,000 Serious Joy Scholarship that covers almost 2/3 of the cost of their education. In keeping with our commitment to affordability, we are offering the Foundations of Christian Worldview Course to qualified high school students for $400 (tuition, food, and lodging). For students who live locally and do not want to stay in offered housing, the price is $300 (tuition and food).

Is housing available?
Bethlehem is able to provide housing, included in the registration price, for the first 16 students.
