Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Pathway Church in Burleson, TX as they search for their next Director of Worship. Pathway Church is a vibrant, community-focused congregation that describes itself as a recovery church that offers a space where people can come as they are and grow together in faith as they pursue Jesus together. The church emphasizes raising servants rather than volunteers, with most of its leadership—both staff and lay leaders—emerging from within the congregation and serving across multiple areas.
The Director of Worship is a full-time role leading Christ-centered worship during weekend services and student ministry while fostering future worship leaders. Working closely with the Pastor of Worship, Director of Student Ministry, and Director of Production, this individual ensures worship experiences align with the church’s vision and values. Key responsibilities include leading worship services, selecting music, overseeing production, and facilitating moments of prayer and spiritual engagement. The Director collaborates with ministry leaders, mentors musicians, and creates a leadership pipeline for developing worship leaders.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The ideal candidate would be a strong vocalist and musician capable of leading paid musicians, with a heart for developing worship leaders within the church, specifically within the growing youth ministry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Worship Leadership: Lead and facilitate Spirit-led, Gospel-centered worship services and special events, ensuring alignment with the church’s theological vision and effective collaboration with ministry leaders.
• Team Development and Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor worship leaders and musicians, fostering spiritual and musical growth while creating a pipeline for future leaders.
• Spiritual Development: Model a lifestyle of worship, providing spiritual guidance and fostering a culture of discipleship and growth within the worship team.
• Rehearsals and Preparation: Plan and lead rehearsals, ensuring musicians are well-prepared and incorporating current trends in worship music and technology.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work with ministry leaders to align worship themes with the church vision and maintain clear, consistent communication within the worship ministry.
