The Pastor of Worship will oversee the planning, preparation, and leadership of Berean’s worship services. He will thoughtfully coordinate every element of the service – including the order of service, Scripture readings, prayers, the flow of songs, and special additions, i.e. testimonies, communion, baptisms, ministry promotions – so that they form a cohesive and meaningful whole. His leadership also includes supervising the tech team to ensure all technical aspects support the church’s worship goals.
This full-time pastoral position will report to the Lead Pastor.
The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following areas:
1. Pastoral Experience and Disposition: He must demonstrate love for people and skill in relating to them. He is humble and committed to seeing people grow as disciples.
2. Musical Ability: He must be a skilled musician who can lead worship from an instrument as needed.
3. Leadership Ability: He will encourage and equip his team by developing leaders,
coordinating participants and navigating conflicting opinions and desires.
4. Communication Ability: He is skilled in interpersonal and platform
communication, demonstrating pastoral warmth and theological depth.
5. Theological knowledge: Formal theological training is not required but is a preferred benefit. He must possess a basic level of competence with the Bible and align with the church’s beliefs and practices.
Compensation is based on various factors. Ranges from $70-85K plus benefits (health, retirement, others).
