Part-Time Youth Director Needed
Minnesota Mandarin Christian Church (MMCC) (services at Christ Presbyterian Church (CPC), 6901 Normandale Blvd, Edina, MN), is seeking for a Youth Director to oversee the Youth program of MMCC. The Youth Director provides a biblical discipleship program for MMCC youth that seeks to win the lost to Christ and to help those who are Christians to mature in Christ. This is a part-time position. Youth Director Qualifications and Job Description
His mission:
The Youth Director provides a biblical discipleship program for MMCC youth that seeks to win the lost to Christ and to help those who are Christians to mature in Christ. He is regularly required 10 hours weekly commitment. The youth director is to arrive at Church 10 minutes ahead of the starting time on Sunday and attend Friday Bible study and prayer meeting held through ZOOM.
Toward Youth:
1. Pray for each youth member by name weekly in private devotion, and lead youth to establish a regular devotional life, and teach youth to pray for each other regularly.
2. Develop and execute a biblical and year-round discipleship program.
3. Organize at least one in-church or out of-church activity each year.
4. Involve youth in ministry and mission projects.
5. Teach youth Sunday school and Friday night classes.
6. Teach youth during annual church retreat.
7. Be available for counseling.
8. Teach youth how to apply the weekly sermon.
Toward Parents:
1. Initiate at least one communication meeting with parents each year.
2. Be available to parents to discuss issues related to their children.
Toward DB and pastor:
1. Make a plan (month/quarter/year) to be approved by DB.
2. Have a monthly status report to DB (DB meeting).
3. Have annual self-evaluation, and seek annual evaluation from DB.
4. Perform other duties as assigned by the DB and/or pastor.
5. Youth Director must be a Bible college student or above.
6. Have a godly character.
7. Have a passion for outreach.
Hours: 10 hrs/week
3 hours teaching at Church/ZOOM ( 1.5 hrs each Friday night 7:30 pm-9:00 pm(zoom) and 1.5 hrs each Sunday 2:30 pm-4:00 pm)
7 hours preparation time, counseling with youth or parent
