Adjunct Instructor of Theology and Academic Coordinator

Hernan obtained his M.Div. (2023) at Bethlehem College and Seminary in Minneapolis, USA, and is currently pursuing a Th.M. at the same institution, focusing on the relationship between humility and joy in Augustine’s writings. Previously, he graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, with a B.A. in East Asian Studies (2011) and has lived and worked in Japan (2011–2012) and Singapore (2012–2013) before returning to Montreal to work as an accountant at a Christian bookstore.

Born in Argentina from Taiwanese parents and raised in Montreal, Hernan speaks English, French, some Taiwanese and Mandarin, and a bit of Japanese (and can parse Greek, Hebrew, and Latin!). His linguistic abilities, administrative skills, and love for the nations are being put to use in his roles as academic coordinator and adjunct instructor for the Cameroon extension site of Bethlehem College and Seminary. Hernan also serves as assistant editor for Themelios.

Hernan enjoys reading, engaging in intellectual and meaningful conversation with people, and serving the church in worship, hospitality, administration, and teaching/preaching.
