Director of Master of Theology Programs & Associate Professor of Theology

Richard Shenk served as a pastor for over 30 years with Converge (BGC) and the EFCA. In 2008, he received his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from the University of Wales, Lampeter. Since 2009, he taught as an adjunct in Bethlehem College and Seminary’s Master of Divinity program until he was invited to serve full-time in 2017. He then retired from his role as pastor and began full-time ministry at Bethlehem.

His wife, Lynne, taught Chemistry at Crown College until she retired in 2021. Their son, Jonathan, his wife Lorna, and their daughter serve as missionaries in SouthEast Asia. Their daughter, Elsbeth, and her husband Nik, live with their three boys on her husband’s family ranch in Montana.
