Alumni

Welcome From the President

Dear Alumni,

I want to remind you of Bethlehem College and Seminary’s God-centered vision for education and introduce you to a new initiative for informing and connecting our alumni. I have been personally shaped by the education I received at The Bethlehem Institute, and it’s been a privilege to teach hundreds of college students and seminary apprentices since I joined the faculty in 2009. I’m honored to serve now as interim president for this remarkable institution.

Bethlehem College and Seminary is a small school with a holy ambition. Under the authority of God’s inerrant Word, we aim to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples by equipping men and women to treasure Christ above all things, to grow in wisdom and knowledge over a lifetime, and to glorify God in every sphere of life. We are committed to the life-changing truth that God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied with him.

Many people view higher education as a means to an end—to acquire marketable skills to get a job to make money. At Bethlehem, we view education as discipleship. We teach students to think, speak and live with wisdom and wonder as mature, joyful disciples of Jesus who, like the men of Issachar, understand the times and know what ought to be done (1 Chron. 12:32). We have a holy ambition to launch a movement of Christian Hedonists who make a disproportionate, Christ-exalting impact on homes, churches, and the world. More specifically, in the next twenty years we hope, by God’s grace, to equip hundreds of seriously joyful and mature to be godly husbands and fathers, wives and mothers; to be servant-hearted church members; to be Christ-exalting, Bible-saturated pastors; to be courageous missionaries making Christ known among the nations; and to be mature, creative, winsome workers who pursue a variety of vocations unto the glory of God.

As alumni of Bethlehem College and Seminary, you are a core part of this vision. And so, we’ve created a website to cultivate the community of Bethlehem alumni. From job postings to upcoming events, from prayer requests to school updates, we hope to keep you informed about God’s work at Bethlehem as well as to hear how Bethlehem College and Seminary can continue to serve you, your family, and your church. Our hope is that, as you pursue God’s calling on your life, you will carry with you not only your Bethlehem education, but your Bethlehem community as well.

Yours in Christ,

Dr. Brian Tabb, Interim President
