Eureka! Discovering Gold in God’s Word • Coinciding with Fall Preview Day

Share

Three of our faculty released new books this year, all treating the same subject: how to understand the Bible. Our chancellor, John Piper, has spent his entire ministry digging deep into the text of Scripture and then communicating those riches, first as seminary professor, then as preaching pastor at Bethlehem Baptist Church, and now, again, as a a part-time professor at Bethlehem College & Seminary. This year, he published his mature reflections on the subject in How to Read the Bible Supernaturally.

Meanwhile, our professor for Old Testament and Biblical Theology and our Assistant Professor for New Testament and Theology were asked to publish companion volumes on their specific areas of expertise: How to Understand and Apply the Old Testament, and How to Understand and Apply the New Testament.

All three books are being hailed as remarkable achievements, and it seemed more than appropriate to mark the occasion with a weekend seminar devoted to just that subject: Discovering Gold in God’s Word.

It coincides with our Fall Preview Day, and we hope that you’ll join us for all or part of this weekend of activities, Friday and Saturday, September 22–23, 2017.

No, we are not able to facilitate childcare for any of the events on Friday, or Saturday. However, there is an area outside the sanctuary with the audio/video streamed of the concert and seminar for those with restless or crying children. There is also a nursing mother’s room located downstairs. (If you attend the church service on Saturday night or Sunday morning, the nurseries are open for childcare).

Do I need to register?
