“Missions exists because worship doesn’t.” —John Piper
Bethlehem College and Seminary exists, under the authority of God’s inerrant word, to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ by equipping men and women to treasure Christ above all things, to grow in wisdom and knowledge over a lifetime, and to glorify God in every sphere of life “…for the joy of all peoples.” This Great Commission imperative saturates the ambition, ethos, and curriculum of Bethlehem College and Seminary, as it has our governing churches for years prior to the school’s inception. It is gospel ambition that has propelled many of our graduates to some of the world’s most difficult places for evangelism, and which has sustained them there, some in the face of persecution, even imprisonment.

We recognize that there are many regions of the world starved for solid biblical teaching. Our aim is to be as responsive as we can be to eliminating theological famine, wherever we may find it. The Alex Steddom International Student Fund provides tuition and work-study support to seminarians from such regions with an eye toward making them teachers of others in those regions. Our flagship program in Cameroon has already graduated two cohorts of “Bethlehem Men,” trained in the same happy, Reformed theology taught on our Minneapolis campus. By God’s grace, we’ll graduate a third cohort next spring.

Pastor Edison DSousa, Th.M. ’26, returned to his home church in Mysore, India, last year, resumed his pulpit, and established a theological training program there. Boaz Prince, M.Div. ’26, is completing his Th.M. here with an aim to soon return home to Tamil Nadu, India.
The Lord called Akins Primus from Trinidad to Bethlehem Theological Seminary where he has completed his first year of training before he returns to fields white for harvest. Mexico’s Jorge Salazar, M.A. ’25, is returning to our seminary this year to complete an M.Div., with an aim to preaching the gospel in Canada, or wherever he may be called.
Each summer, after funds have been raised to fund our Serious Joy Scholarship, we appeal for a few months for a more modest amount to meet the needs of this endeavor. These dollars extend a long way in gospel impact and productivity, serving the needs of many more seminarians for the nations.
We know you have already given sacrificially to support all of our students, but ask that you pray whether or not you might be willing to go this extra mile for the sake of the gospel around the world. You can contribute here or mail checks to 720 13th Ave. S. Minneapolis, MN 55415. Please make checks payable to Bethlehem College and Seminary with “Steddom” indicated in the memo line.
