One of the distinctive aspects of Bethlehem College and Seminary and one of our strongest commitments is to keep our programs affordable.

BCS_SJScholarship

Every full-time seminary and college student receives annually a $10,000 Serious Joy Scholarship funded by generous givers. Students are able to attend Bethlehem College and Seminary for less than half of the actual cost of tuition (see chart below).

SERIOUS JOY SCHOLARSHIP 60%
STUDENT PORTION 40%

Our aim is to enable students to pursue the Lord’s calling on their lives as soon after graduation as possible without the encumbrance of financial debt, which might otherwise delay their entry into full-time ministry.

Net Student Tuition$8,000
Other Costs
Housing (Rent + Utilities)$4,800**

Applying to Bethlehem College and Seminary is simple. You can begin the online application process at the top of this page.

2
Submit Supplemental Material
  • Transcripts: All college applicants must request transcripts from high school and all other colleges they have attended (if any). Seminary applicants must request transcripts from all undergraduate institutions they attended.
  • Test Scores: Unless an applicant has 24 college credits or more, they must submit an ACT, CLT, or SAT score. Bethlehem requires a minimum score of 21 for the ACT, 70 for the CLT, and 1060 for the SAT. Seminary or Evening Program applicants need not submit standardized tests scores.
  • References: In the online application every applicant will provide contact information for a pastoral and academic reference. Admissions staff will work with the applicant and reference to ensure the reference forms are completed.
3

All applicants to the college or seminary will be interviewed by a staff or faculty member to complete the admissions process. Admissions staff will arrange the interview after applicants complete the online application and submit all supplemental material.

1
Complete Online Application

Bethlehem College and Seminary is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students. You can begin the online application process at the top of this page. International students should note that their applications may not follow the typical timeline. Applications may take as long as 18 months to complete. The deadline for international seminary applications is March 1.

2
Fill out additional international applicant form
  • Statement of Understanding
3
Submit official TOEFL or ACT/SAT score

All students for whom English is not their first language are also required to take either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). For students taking the TOEFL, Bethlehem requires that they take the internet based test (TOEFL iBT®). A score of at least 90 is required for the TOEFL iBT®; a score of 7 is required for the IELTS.
College applicants whose native language is English may submit an ACT, CLT, or SAT score. The minimum ACT score is 21, the minimum CLT score is 70 and the minimum SAT score is 1060.

4
Send in transcript evaluation from an independent agency

As an International applicant you need to have your transcript evaluated by an independent agency. Bethlehem recommends these agencies:

These agencies offer a few different types of evaluation reports. You need to request one that includes course-by-course review, which means the transcript that you send them must not only have grades but also list each course. Then you must have them send a copy of the evaluation to:

Admissions
Bethlehem College and Seminary

Minneapolis, MN 55415

The typical protocol is for the evaluating agency to send the college/university their official report along with a copy of the original transcript.
